About Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Navsari Amravati
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Amravati is the first Navodaya which was setup as part of the implementation of New Education Policy 1986. The NCERT established two Model Schools in the Year 1985-86, out of which one Model School was at Amravati in the Maharashtra State. JNV Amaravati is engaged, since its inception, in an endeavor to create an academic environment that incorporates the students to be Physically Healthy, Mentally Sound and Emotionally Balanced, to inherit the skills of high order thinking. Admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is made on the basis of a Selection Test, designed and conducted by the CBSE. The test is called the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). It is of non-verbal nature, class-neutral and designed so as to ensure that talented children from rural areas are able to compete without facing any disadvantage.
