Kendriya Vidyalaya, INS Hamla, Malad (West), was established in August 1972 as a Defence School. The Vidyalaya is situated at a distance of 9 kms. from Malad Station. It is the only Kendriya Vidyalaya in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai (State – Maharastra), Assembly – Malad West, Lok Sabha Constituency: Mumbai-North.
